acupuncture

Thousands of years ago, Chinese doctors realized that the anatomy of the body is linked by channels.  These conduits, confirmed by physicists with radioactive isotope tests, allow the systems of the body to function in harmony.

Each acupuncture channel has special locations, called acupoints, where the current of the channel is accessible and can affect the whole body.  Functional MRI, for example, has shown that the LI-4 point on the hand can directly influence the brain.

We will analyze your case and select a small number of points for maximum effect.  Your practitioner will then stimulate the points with needling, heat, or pressure for about 20 to 60 minutes.  After falling into a deep state of relaxation, most patients leave our office feeling relief from discomfort as well as a general sense of vitality and balance.
