David H. Price, L. Ac., M.O.M., B.A. has had a lifelong interest in natural medicine and Asian history and culture. After graduating from Pomona College with a degree in Asian Studies, he spent 6 years living in Japan where he taught himself Japanese and passed the second level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam. David received certification through the Institute of Chinese Herbology before undertaking a rigorous four-year master's degree program at IICM in New Mexico. He was awarded his degree in 2000 and became licensed in Arizona in 2001.
During the last 15 years David has enjoyed an active and successful career, with a current patient load about four times the Tucson average. Committed to the model of the scholar-physician, he has taught over 5,000 hours of Chinese medicine to graduate students, worked with both the accreditation and administration of colleges of traditional Asian medicine, and published translations of Chinese medical texts. As a specialist in Chinese herbology, especially the Li-Zhu and jing fang schools of herbal medicine, David is sought out by laypeople and professionals alike for his academic and clinical expertise.
